One of the more meticulous course I took at UW-Stout was Lettform with the great Bill DeHoff. Attention to detail is a must, and more importantly knowing the forms and figures of various letterforms and fonts is more important than knowing the back of your own hand. This particular project was to letter the font by hand and add illustrations to go with it.
